Originally from Illinois, Tom Trieb began his coaching career under his mentor J.R. Niklos II at Acceleration Performance, where he worked with athletes ranging from youth to professional levels. Tom moved to Roanoke in 2024 to bring his high-level experience and insight to the Iron Palace.

Before transitioning to coaching, Tom had a standout collegiate football career that reflects the same path many athletes aspire to follow. He began at Northern Illinois before transferring to the College of DuPage, where he earned All-American honors and won a National Championship. He went on to play at the University of North Texas, where he was named All-Conference USA before medically retiring.

Tom knows what it takes to compete at the next level—because he’s done it himself. He not only brings a wealth of training knowledge but also offers specialized sport-specific development for linebackers, tight ends, and both offensive and defensive linemen.
